Hi, my name is Brandie Kajino, and I help women entrepreneurs (and a few good men) leverage technology in their business.
There is so much about technology which can be maddening, but it doesn’t have to be that way. I started my business, The Home Office Organizer, in 2005, knowing nothing about WordPress, podcasting, social media or this thing called “cloud computing.” I learned, as many do, through trial and error… like crashing my own website at one point. Yes. CRASHING.
Do you know a good _____ ? Why yes, I do.
I’ve had the good fortune to be resourceful, which may be due to insatiable technology obsession curiosity. It’s been useful to me in my own business, and I love sharing great treasures with others (I’m known to get giddy like a schoolgirl.) Nothing is better than helping someone overcome a specific frustration, find a unique product, or watch the “I get it!” lightbulb go on.
After starting my professional organizing business, I had friends and colleagues seek me out for advice on all kinds of technology tools. It’s a subject I love to speak, read and learn about – and I found it especially useful when growing my business. I share it freely and often. After a time, I discovered a growth in my training & consulting work in this area, so in 2010, the “SOHO Solutionist” made her debut.
You may have seen me around. Have we met?
I won’t bore you with all the details, but you may have seen my writing and ramblings around the interwebs on places like SmartMoney.com, StartupNation.com or on live radio like Martha Stewart Living. I’ve also appeared on my fair share of podcasts (think “internet radio in your pocket”.)
I’ve also had the distinct pleasure of speaking at conferences and other events around the country. (For more on my media credits, please scroll down.)
This site is for you. Let’s make nice with your technology tools.
This site, and my business, are about making technology and small business tools accessible and understandable to real people. I try and keep the lingo to a minimum around here, as I realize not everyone is as geeked out as I am. I’m guessing that may be the reason you’re here.
Let’s all take a deep breath.
I believe technology is meant to help us become better at what we do, more effective in business and life, and more productive overall. Unfortunately (and all too often) it’s the source of angst, profuse sweating, and the undeniable urge to scream and throw things. Before you get to that point (or if you’re dangerously close), join us here on SOHO Tech Training or get in touch, and we’ll figure it out, K?
My mission is to be helpful to you, so you can grow your business or cause, and change your corner of the world. Let’s use our power for good, shall we?
Thanks for stopping by. How can I help?
